Suntec provides scanning for almost any type of paper to any image format possible.

We are equipped to handle all of your paper to image conversion requirements. Whether you require that your documents are scanned and transferred to disk or you are looking to have them converted to .PDF format, Suntec employs a variety of document scanning techniques and equipment to provide you with quality images from the smallest receipts to large blueprints and maps.

We utilize the latest technology in high-speed document scanners. Scanning is done with Flatbed scanners with ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) and using CCD technology.  During the process, an experienced scanner technician interactively monitors and adjusts the scanning parameters for the best image capture possible.

The images are stored as TIFF images, which are compatible to almost any document management software package.

Document Preparation 

Suntec provides complete document preparation services prior to scanning. These include:

• Document disassembly (removing staples and binding)

• Unfolding pages

• Moving post-it notes to uncovering data.

• Correcting upside down or backwards pages.

We take your documents right from your files and perform any preparation required for scanning. We also offer complete reassembly so your documents return to you exactly as you sent them.

Data Entry (Indexing)

Suntec provides complete indexing services so you can find your scanned documents. These include OCR/ICR and manual keying.

We perform our keying from the images for maximum efficiency. This reduces the handling of the original paper after the scanning phase. We utilize a number of tools for increased accuracy such as double-key indexing where two different data entry operators key the same information. The results are then compared and any discrepancies resolved. This provides near 100% keying accuracy.

We also utilize existing databases where available to increase accuracy and reduce cost. In addition, pop-up lists and rule-based automated QC are used to enforce consistency and accuracy.

OCR/ICR 

Suntec can provide OCR/ICR (optical character recognition / intelligent character recognition) to create full text indexes of scanned images. This text can be embedded in a PDF file or various text formats.

PDF File Creation

Suntec can create PDF files from your scanned documents. These can be image-only PDF files or fully searchable image plus hidden text PDF files. We can also embed color images, create thumbnail images, and provide full book marking and linking services.

 CD/DVD Creation 

Suntec can create CDs and DVDs of all your documents. We can provide a master set and any number of duplicates with customized color ink-jet printed labels printed right on the CD/DVD face

 On-site Scanning Services 

We can provide preparation and scanning services at your facility so documents never leave your site. This is sometimes required for very sensitive documents or documents that are accessed continually. We have personnel and equipment ready to handle on-site projects of all sizes.
